Saint
Louis University (9-12, 2-8) lost a tough C-USA match against
University of Cincinnati
(11-9, 5-5) in the Bauman-Eberhardt Athletic Center (~826 paid
attendance). The Billikens led by one (28-27) at the half but
began the second half with cold shooting and soon trailed by
10 points. Pressure defense and rebounding frustrated Cincinnati
and the Billikens found themselves tied at 10:10 in the second
half. After a 3-pt basket by the Bearcats, both teams went scoreless
until SLU's April Mckinney sank a free throw at the 3:07 mark.
The score remained close, but several key misses at the charity
line by SLU resulted in a slim 54-55 loss to the visitors. |
