Visiting SIUC (1-5) continued its inability to handle and effectively shoot the basketball without their more experienced players with the final result a loss to a confident SLU Biliken team (6-1). The final score was 78-52 at the less than capacity filled West Pine Gym (2200 occupancy).

SLU was able to provide sufficient pressure to keep the Salukies off balance, causing numerous turnovers, poor shot selection and poor shooting. SIUC displayed good hustle on defense but seemed more like a team out of control for most of the contest.
