Saint Louis University Billikens (2-1) appeared ready for Thanksgiving by shooting down the Boston College Eagles (3-1) 53-50 at the Chaifetz Arena (reported attendance = 9,127). The game brought back memories of the deliberate approach characteristic of the Soderberg years with a tempered influx of freshman mistakes along with stretches of fine defense. The first half ended tied 23-23 with neither team's leading scorer contributing to the offense. Late in the second half, SLU senior Kevin Lisch caught fire and led the Billikens on towards victory. SLU was led by senior guard Kevin Lisch (15 pts), freshman forward Brian Conklin (11 pts, 9 rebounds), senior guard Tommie Liddell, III (9 pts, 9 rebounds), and freshman center Willie Reed (8 points, 8 rebounds). Saint Louis shot 38% from the field (25% from 3-pt range) and 75% (15-20) from the charity line. The Eagles were led by sophomore forward Corey Raji (22 pts, 7 rebounds) and freshman guard Reggie Jackson (10 pts). BC shot 33% from the field (19% from 3-pt range) and 58% (11-19) from the charity line. The Billikens had 43 rebounds (16O, 27D), 7 assists, 6 steals, 2 blocked shots, and 16 turnovers as compared with 32 rebounds (15O, 17D), 8 assists, 6 steals, 0 blocked shots, and 13 turnovers by the Eagles.

SLU senior guard Tommie Liddell, III (25) scores on this drive down the lane over BC sophomore forward Cortney Dunn (55). Liddell finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 turnover. Billikens freshman forward Brian Conklin (14) shoots inside against Eagles freshman forward Evan Ravenel (24). Conklin scored 11 points to go with 9 rebounds and 3 turnovers. Senior guard Kevin Lisch caught fire late in the game to finish with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers, and 2 steals. Billikens freshman center Willie Reed (33) scores over Eagles sophomore forward Corey Raji (11). Reed scored 8 points to go with 8 rebounds. Raji finished with a game-high 22 points and 7 rebounds..

BC freshman guard Reggie Jackson (0) scores over SLU freshman guard Kwamain Mitchell (3). Jackson finished with 10 points and 3 rebounds. Kwamain Mitchell (3) was assigned ball handling and defensive duties. Mitchell was able to hold Eagles leading scorer Tyrese Rice (4) (22 ppg) to 6 points, 3 assists, and 6 turnovers.
