SLU Billikens (6-2, 0-0) rallied from a two-point half-time deficit to defeat Western Illinois University (3-6, 0-0) 71-61 at the Scottrade Center (reported attendance, 7,734). Despite numerous turnovers in the first half, the Leathernecks went into the locker room with a 33-31 half-time lead. SLU put together a run during the second half and coasted to a 71-61 victory. Sophomore guard Tommie Liddell (17 pts, 7 rebounds) and junior forward Luke Meyer (10 pts, 6 rebounds) led a fairly balanced team effort.
