during the first half and trailed 40-19 at the intermission.
The second half was no better for the host team. SLU was led
by junior guard Reggie Bryant (15 pts, 6 turnovers), senior guard
Josh Fisher (9 pts, 4 turnovers), and senior forward Chris Sloan
(8 pts, 5 rebounds). The Billikens shot 35% from the field (32%
from 3-pt range) and 77% from the charity line. The Cardinals
were led by sophomore forward Francisco Garcia (17 pts, 5 rebounds,
6 assists), junior forward Otis George (13 pts, 6 rebounds),
and senior center Kendall Dartez (12 pts, 11 rebounds). Louisville
shot 45% from the field (26% from 3-pt range) and 81% from the
charity line. SLU had 26 rebounds (5O, 21D), 10 assists, 4 steals,
and 20 turnovers as compared with 36 rebounds (11O, 25D), 15
