(3-0) played a patient and controlled game against North
Carolina A&T University (0-4) and came away with a 75-42
victory at the Savvis Center (reported attendance, 8,072). The
Billikens led 35-19 at the half behind the shooting of senior
guard Josh Fisher (13 pts) and forward Chris Sloan (8 pts). Fisher
and Sloan finished the game with 18 and 14 points, respectively.
SLU bettered NCA&T on the boards (35-28), had fewer turnovers
(15-28), and more steals (16-4). SLU shot 50% from the field
(23% from 3-pt range) and 65% from the charity line. The Aggies
were led by freshman guard Sean Booker (18 pts and 13 turnovers).
NCA&T shot 35% from the field (36% from 3-pt range) and 59%
from the charity line. |
