| SLU (0-1) dropped their season opener 63-58 to UT-Martin (1-0) at Savvis Center before 7,960 fans. The visiting Skyhawks were able to build an early 39-28 halftime lead with a run-and-gun offense as the Billikens turned over the basketball numerous times. Although the Billikens outscored the Skyhawks during the second half, SLU fell short in the final seconds as neither Marque Perry nor Drew Diener were able to hit on three-point attempts (0-13). |
